Who We Are

We’re committed to changing the lives of youth, parents, and communities. We develop and deliver products and services to help them thrive.

Our multidisciplinary team of scientists, educators, and other practitioners combine science, real-world perspectives, and field-tested studies. The result? First-of-their-kind products and services that are both effective and practical.

innovation Research & Training (iRT) is a behavioral sciences research company committed to identifying and solving significant real-world problems facing children, families, communities, and organizations. Our Funding

Funding for the development and evaluation of our programs typically comes from grants and contracts. We put science first. It is our goal to make our products and services accessible, attractive, and affordable, so that educators, students, parents, families and organizations will adopt and use our programs so they can benefit from what we learn.

Some of the organizations funding our research and product development activities include:

  • National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

  • Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute on Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)

  • National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)

  • Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)

  • Institute of Education Sciences (IES) in the U.S. Department of Education

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

  • National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR)

We also receive contracts from organizations to help them evaluate their programs, and to provide them with training and technical assistance services.
